Thanks to all who attended...
Wow! I was overwhelmed to see so many at the celebration of Matthews life. It was more than I could have asked for, to see so many whom Matthew had meant so much to. There was laughter and tears for my friend. The way it should be. I only hope that when I pass that there would be half as many.

SEE YA LATER BUDDY,
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR BEING A GREAT FRIEND, I MISS ALREADY.
BROTHER RON
I would like to thank the people who took the great courage and strength to express their feelings towards Matthew McKenna-Smith at his rememberance ceremony. I regret not personally being able to show the strength necessary for me to share my memories and feelings of Matthew of that time. I still cannot accuratly put into words the feelings of loss that I feel not being able to see Matthew in my lifetime. I knew Matthew since the 5th grade and shared so many great, special, and inspiring moments with my brother. I truely feel that the only way to properly celebrate Matthew's life would be not allowing ourselves to let the memorial to be the end product of his life. I personally would like to propose a yearly golf tournament, and a fishing tournament, and also a picnic or potluck to benefit his memory and share our memories of him with each other. I feel it would be a waste not to cherish his memory and soulful exuberance and love of life by not celebrating our beloved Matthew on a yearly basis. I welcome any discussions of my ideas (and input) on how we may properly celebrate Matthew McKenna-Smith. Please contact me any time in the evenings of any day with your ideas and thoughts on my proposal to honor Matthew.
