Pictures of Matthew

Coleen and I are looking for pictures of Matthew. Especially of him playing the drums. These are in short supply as he was the one that usually had the camera in his hand. If you have any you can email them to me (Bill Simpson) at alienfishz@yahoo.com . These are going to be used for a slide show at his celebration of life service on March 1st.

Thanks and God bless

Bill

  2. Bill, My nameis Mark Lindblom, I was one of Matthews oldest and closest "brothers" and it saddens my entire family trhttp://search.imesh.com/emendously to hear of his untimely passing.I'm quite sure I was the only person at both his weddings, besides him...
I was there when both his boys were babies, and needless to say, shared countless fine memories watching them all smile together..I had the honor and privelige of making music and sharing brotherhood with Matthew John Junior Edwards Sinclair Mckenna Smith from the time we were just 14 and had major stars in our eyes.. We eventually were lucky enough to record an original album together, along with our other brothers George Clark and Stacy Miller, as "TEMPTING FATE" in the mid 90's, and will always cherish the record of his drumming as well as his special spirit that was clearly felt by all who had the opportunity to know him. I will miss my bro forever and hold his memory close in my heart. I may be able to find a few photos from the old days...Mlindblom@comcast.net
please feel free to contact me with any updated info or what I can do to help with the service.
    sincerely, Mark Lindblom

  3. Hi Folks,
My name is Skip Bryson and I currently play drums in Super Collider with George Clark and Mark Lindblom. Our band morphed from Tempting Fate (mach II) to our current group. I first met Matthew at a rehearsal when he was the (original) drummer for Tempting Fate. I really liked Matthew from the outset, as he was very friendly, warm and welcoming to me despite the fact that we were both drummers. Drummers can be somewhat competitive, but that was NEVER the case with Matthew and I. I later joined Tempting Fate following Matthew's departure from the band. He was always very supportive and encouraging of my playing. It was mutual. I always admired his drumming and musicianship (he wailed on guitar too!) My favorite memory of Matthew was a 4th of July bash outdoors at Mark's place. Some of the guys built a makeshift stage with a large drum riser at the back. Matthew and I set up our drum kits side by side. He played on some songs and I played on some songs. But the most fun was when we BOTH played together on songs. Those in attendance that day know what the equivalent of massive rocket fire sounds like!
I'd like to say thank you to Matthew for all his spirit and support. Keep the beat for the Lord as only you can. God bless your family.
    Skip Bryson
